LONDON (AP) -- The soldier brutally murdered in a suspected terrorist attack in London was a popular 25-year-old ceremonial military drummer and machine gunner, a father and a passionate fan of the Manchester United soccer team, the British military said Thursday.
Lee Rigby, of 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, who had joined the army in 2006, was posted in Cyprus, Afghanistan and Germany before becoming a recruiter, assisting with duties in the Tower of London.
"All he wanted to do from when he was a little boy was be in the Army," Rigby's family said in a statement issued through the Ministry of Defense. "He wanted to live life and enjoy himself."

I am sure he was a model soldier, but why don't they call the attack and attack of war on their country?
This is getting WORSE in Europe and America BETTER wake the hell up.
It sure has helped the British citizens, being disarmed (and happily marching straight into that "we will protect you" crap) huh? It took the police TWENTY MINUTES to get there!! They could have had a cookout and served food before the police showed up. Good thing no do-gooder citizen tried to intervene with his umbrella or rolled up newspaper. Twenty minutes!! It proves the truth of the adage "When seconds count, the police are only 15 minutes away". And American citizens want us to disarm? My ass. I'm packing more heat than ever. And I don't care about the law, your idea of what's right, or what you scared-of-loud-noises sissy girls think. But when some thug tries to beat your Mom up for her purse in the Wal Mart parking lot, you'll be damn glad there are people like me around (you know, someone WITHOUT a badge that ALSO runs TOWARDS trouble). I'm not looking for trouble, but I'm not puttin' up with any of it, either.
