ANNAPOLIS - Former County Executive John R. Leopold has paid his court-ordered fine, choosing to give the money to the county he once led.
By doing so, he reduced the fine to $75,000, instead of the $100,000 he was ordered to pay in March by retired Circuit Court Judge Dennis Sweeney.
Leopold, 70, was serving his second term in office when he was convicted of two counts of criminal misconduct in office for ordering his executive protection detail to do campaign work for him and to empty his catheter bag following his back surgery. He resigned from office in February.

I wish I had $75,000.
Shouldn't he have to pay money to the people he humiliated?!
