ACLU Worried About Boston Bombing Suspect’s Miranda Rights

BOSTON — The American Civil Liberties Union says it’s concerned the surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect will be questioned by investigators without being read his Miranda rights.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev remained hospitalized Saturday after being wounded in a firefight with police Friday. His brother was killed earlier.

The author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry. The man who walks with God always gets to his destination. If you have a pulse you have a purpose.

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States , especially in the minority races.

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who each explained their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Muslim gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video.

After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Muslim and asked: 'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?'
There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, 'Non-believers!'

I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?'

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.'

He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'

I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine The Pope commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!'
The Muslim was speechless.

I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you a question:
Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?'

You could have heard a pin drop.

Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President.

I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the AlgLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on! This is your chance to make a difference.
FOR CHRIST'S SAKE....SEND THIS ON

No Miranda necessary, if public safety dictates questioning limited to IMMEDIATE threats, e.g., "Do you have more bombs in your apt?"
New York v. Quarles

Of course the ACLU is concerned, they need something to justify themselves. It didn't happen to them. But I sure hope it does soon so they can stop giving more rights to the criminals and more to the victims and people who DECIDE to do right.

Y'all was loving the ACLU last week when they opposed stricter background checks and registration of guns.

He needs his rights read to him like those people he killed. I hope that thay understand thier rights!

Sickening - the ACLU is the main reason that those two terrorists were able to get into this country, and now they feel that they should be coddled.

Today it was ruled that his rights can be read to him when he becomes physically capable of acknowledging the Miranda.Reading them to him during his arrest would have been legally useless. One must be fully cognitive of their rights when they are read to them or they are null and void. Therefore in a day or two he will officially be advised of his rights.

The suspect put a gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger when police caught him in the boat. How then can he testify? He may even have brain damage.

This is insane. No person had any rights read before he killed them.

I would rather for his Miranda rights are read to keep his family in the future from suing tax paying american born citizens. These ppeople from othe country know more about our laws then some of you. They are looking for reason to sue the u. s. This person is a citizen. He has the right to u. s. due process. The biggest way to destroy this country is through finance. Can't you all see the signs how the naturalized citizens, illegals and anchor babies are financially draining the u. s. Wake up people.

here's another one of obama's terrorrists for him to get off and be just deported. when is america going to wake up and impeach tis a**hole potus and his corrupt buddies?

Look past this and your nose. If they are allowed to do this, they set a precedent that they can refuse to read the Miranda to YOU. It's bigger than this one terrorist.

I realize that the letter "ACLU" often evoke a knee jerk response, but those saying they are a bunch of do-nothings are incorrect. I challenge the nay-sayers to visit the ACLU's website and check out the work they're doing regarding the NDAA and protecting privacy laws on the internet. In matters of civil liberties the progressives in the ACLU and the conservatives in the Tea Party have much in common.

The ACLU protects and fights for rights and issues all over the spectrum.

Of course, there are going to be people who don't like certain things they do or certain people having rights they don't want them to have.

You cannot, correctly, define ANYTHING, by one or two actions they may or may not do.

The ACLU is correct. The public safety exception is intended for an immediate OBVIOUS threat. Suspect #1 is as dead as a doornail and Suspect #2 is unconscious, under heavy sedation and guard-neither being any kind of threat. Unless they had or have reason beyond a doubt to believe others were involved and still may a threat to public safety this exception does not apply.
Latest is they are going to Mirandize. It's beginning to look like the 3 Stooges are running this show.
