When a legal survey puts the legal guarantees the U.S. offers workers in the same category as those offered by Papua New Guinea and Swaziland, chances are there is a poor government policy in place.
Last week Human Rights Watch, an international nongovernmental organization, conducted a study which investigated the amount of guaranteed paid parental leave in 190 countries.
Out of the 190 countries surveyed, 178 have guaranteed paid leave for new mothers, nine were unclear about their paid leave policy and three — including the U.S. — offered no legal guarantee of paid leave.

Because if you give them an inch they'll take a mile!If the rest of the free world knows that about us why don't we? Any US based employer knows that.Where people in other countries are just happy to have a job,we seize every opportunity to get over on our employers.Sure there are a few good and dependable employees out there, but they are drastically outnumbered.
Probably why our economy has been doing so much better; not so many mandates to pay for non-productivity.
It is because most of the world value their children.., none of the BS reasons posted above.
It is a fact that European mothers will casually leave unattended baby carriages at the door of a business when entering for a brief time. This is because there is absolutely no fear of ANYONE harming their child, totally unlike the US.
So, naysayers, the true reason is that our society is blatantly degenerate and puts little or no value on it's children.., unless they can be used as shields to further an agenda.
Maternity leave is in large part so that a woman can recover physically from childbirth. It is medically necessary. I don't see the validity in extending this right to men. I did not take paid leave from work to help recover from my husband's vesectomy. If the argument is that we should do it because Eurpoe does... then maybe we should stop bathing or shaving as well.
I like the cut o' yar jib, 2:41 !!
Are children not safe because we don't care for children or because the culture is morphing into one that doesn't value ANY life?
The libturds are bound and determined to ruin this country. If you want more leave, LEAVE the country.
