Maryland Senate Votes to Abolish Death Penalty

Maryland's Senate voted on Wednesday to repeal the death penalty, moving the state closer to becoming the sixth since 2007 to abolish capital punishment.
The situation in Maryland comes amid deepening uncertainty over the death penalty, which was reinstated in many states after it was upheld as constitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1976.
While, for now, Maryland and 32 other states retain the power to sentence inmates to death, capital punishment faces a host of challenges, from the growing number of exonerations of convicts—often because of new DNA evidence—to shortages of drugs used in lethal injections.

Let me get this right, so now not only do we support illegals and lazy people... NOW we have to support murderers for rest of their lives, yeah what I wanted and I can see the system works.

POLITICIANS need to house murderers and molesters for a year at a time...

Three hots and a cot for life. One more reason for criminals to come to Maryland. Unfortunately for me, I am stuck here. I have an established business here and I am too old to start all over, so I can't move to Texas. If I was 20 years younger, this failing state could kiss my productive ass goodbye.
