On Tuesday March 5th, the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force (GTF) responded to the Quality Inn located on North Sussex Highway in Seaford in response to illegal drug sales being reported in the area. Detectives and Probation Officers responded to room 223 where contact was made with Kai Bacon, who initially gave a false name, along with Steonte D. Batson, Nakita E. Boothman and two children under the age of two. A computer inquiry into the three adults revealed they all had capiases out of Sussex County Courts. All three subjects were transported back to Troop 4 where Bacon and Batson were processed and arraigned on the above listed charges before being turned over to the Department of Corrections in lieu of secured bonds. Boothman was released after being arraigned on her capias. The children were turned over to relatives at the scene.
