GAY RIGHTS ACTIVIST BUYS HOUSE ACROSS FROM WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH, PAINTS IT TO LOOK LIKE A GIANT RAINBOW

It’s the Westboro Baptist Church’s worst nightmare: A home-turned-gay rights center located right across the street from the controversial Topeka, Kan., house of worship. Recently, this intriguing scenario became a reality.

In addition to its mere presence, the building’s aesthetics are also likely to create a stir among Westboro faithful, as the house’s siding has been intentionally painted to resemble a rainbow — a symbol that has been synonymous with the gay rights movement for decades.

The home, located opposite the church, has become 31-year-old Aaron Jackson’s newest project, Gawker reports. The young do-gooder has transformed into a center intended to target the anti-gay sentiment that so often comes from Westboro’s congregants.

Extremists against the immorality and extremists for the immorality.
Tough choice who to support.

If the gays want to be treated fairly they shouldn't go around trying to antagonize heterosexuals. If I were to walk around wearing a t-shirt that said "Heterosexual Pride" I'm sure I would be considered a bigot. Maybe the gays are the real haters. They hate because they know something is wrong with them and rather than fix it they want to feel normal by lashing out at heterosexuals.

That is suitable for the zealots from that church(?). If I was ever in the presence of a military funeral they were protesting, I would surely be going to jail.

Tough choice? Really? When was the last time a gay disrespected the funeral service of a fallen American hero?
Get your head out of your backside. It is about respecting the views and choices of others as long as it does not affect you. A basic America tenet of freedom.

Very ill contrived, counterproductive plan. This isn't a worst nightmare scenrio for WBC but a dream come true. They thrive on being engaged into confrontation.
The only prudent thing to do when dealing with nutcases it to ignore them. That's their worst nightmare.

@1:13am: Heterosexual people have nothing to defend. There is no debate about being heterosexual. Society didn't shun or ignore them or pretend they didn't exist. So if you are gay and want to wear a gay pride shirt, have at it!
