No more donations to the Red Cross - where were they when Crisfield needed help after Sandy? They were nowhere to be found.
Call the local office and ask about it - anyone with experience was fired 2 years ago and now they are just fundraising professionals at the Salisbury office.
Joe probably won't publish this - he doesn't want to admit that the Red Cross ain't what it used to be on the Lower Shore.
Yes, 3:09, you are right. I was a volunteer there for years and then they lost there minds and fired the three people who knew anything.
the leftovers are a joke. they don't even show up for stuff like sandy.
none of the money stays local any more. it all goes to wilmington and they control it. i won't give anymore to red cross or to the united way who supports them.
they used to do a lot for the locals but now they just send all the money to their headquarters to pay the big salaries.
3:09 this is something a group of 3 rd grade students came up with themselves to give back to the community. It is amazing that you can somehow find fault with an effort made by kids to help people. Of all the projects or things they could have come up with, they chose an event like this. They felt that there were most likely some kids out there that no longer had some of the items they enjoy each day and so they wanted to help. It's refreshing in today's world that young people would take the time to think of others. Get a grip.
