Man Arrested for Trespassing on School Property; Guns Found in Home

An Anne Arundel County man has been arrested after trespassing on school property and while being interviewed as to why he was at the school, police said it led them to a search of the man's home where they found a number of guns.

Police arrested Justin Beaumont, 25, of Glen Burnie.

Investigators said just before 2 PM Monday, a custodian at North County High School, Glen Burnie, noticed what police call 'suspicious activity' at the school. The custodian told investigators he heard the sound of an unknown person pulling on door handle and said he didn't recognize Beaumont and called for a school resource officer. Beaumont was then taken to the school's office.

So the cops found a gun AND ammo in the man's house . I bet if they looked in the kitchen they would of found knives . If they looked in the medicine cabnet they would of found drugs. Good work boys.

I am a police officer and must admit, I too, wonder what relevance the guns in his home have anything to do with the investigation of their trespassing case. Unless something was said while interviewing the suspect, what relevance is there to what is in his house, and on what grounds did they search it. Of course it was in one of those Democratic counties that sways the vote.

So this guy went to a school and was questioned as to why he was there, and that is the excuse that the cops got a warrant, went to his house and took his legal property?
WTF has happened to this country?
Mark my words. No matter whet the outcome of this investigation, he will never get his property back.
Those scumbag cops will be dividing up the booty between themselves.

I would really like to know what was said during that interview to justify the liberal judge granting a search warrant?

Alex... I'm shocked. I just got chest pain after reading your comment.

Whatever his issue, he was stopped by an observant custodian who contacted the SRO.
He must've been blabbing about something goofy to justify a search warrant (hopefully).

Beaumont told the SRO that he was a former North County High School student. Police said Beaumont didn't make any threats, nor were any weapons found on him or in his car. He did, however, tell police that he was bullied while he was a student at the school and in addition, asked about school security and talked about his military experience. According to the school, Beaumont was a student North County High School for two months in 2002 before transferring to another school.

Police said based on Beaumont's comments, they contacted Anne Arundel County Police who then got a search warrant to for Beaumont's home. Detectives found a number of legal and legally registered firearms including a loaded AK-47, an Uzi assault weapon and three handguns. They also found ammunition.

The guns were seized, pending a mental health evaluation, according to police.

Maybe, he thought he was doing the school a favor by testing their security? But it is a public school isn't it? And 2pm is in the normal hours of operation isn't it?

He should have checked in with the office though.

Saying you were bullied at school is grounds for a search warrant, of your home?

Hell, if that's the case, they could search my home. And probably anyone who ever went to public school.
