GOVERNOR O’MALLEY AND LT. GOVERNOR BROWN TO HIGHLIGHT ADMINISTRATION’S JOBS AGENDA

ANNAPOLIS, MD (February 7, 2013) – TODAY, Governor Martin O’Malley and Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown will highlight the Administration’s agenda to create jobs and expand opportunity for more Marylanders. 

This morning at 11:30 a.m., the Governor will join the Federal Facilities Advisory Board for the release of a strategic plan to support the State’s federal community. At 1:00 p.m., the Governor will testify before the Senate Finance Committee on the Employment Advancement Right Now (EARN) initiative to bridge the gap between Maryland’s workforce and the jobs in highest demand. At 1:45 p.m., Governor O’Malley and Lt. Governor Brown will testify on the Veterans Full Employment Act before the Senate Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee - a bill to remove barriers to employment for Maryland veterans and their spouses.

These clowns just don't get it. You increase jobs by increasing business. And you can't increase business by increasing taxes? With Maryland's restrictions, permits, and taxes, a person would be crazy to try to start a business here.
