He was arrested last night in Easton.
He was charged with possession of marijuana and released with a citation and no bond.

"Locked me up then wanted pictures," he wrote, posting a photo of himself standing with two unidentified state troopers. The photo has been "liked" more than 39,000 times. Why would the police pose with this thug. Do they pose for pictures with everyone they arrest? Let's not forget he's a law breaker, not a celebrity. Treat him accordingly.
If that was anyone else, they would have spent time in jail and have to post bond. This is BS!
Troopers are not what they used to be, Just face it. Back in the day they wouldn’t care if it was Elvis, They were professionals. Now look at them Grinning, chest pumped out and ready to tell everyone who they met.

Remember when people had names like John, Robert or William. Now every wannabe rapper picks a name like 2 Chainz or Snoop Dogg or some other crap. And I guess you get more cred by spelling it incorrectly. Whatever. 2 or Chainz or whatever he goes by just got busted in the E to the A to the STON.
I was caught in Salisbury with 1.2 grams of weed (not even enough for a decent sized joint). I am a white male and I spent the night in jail, Had to pay $750.00 (10%) of my bail. When court came around I was sentenced to 5 months incarceration suspended for 2 years probation. Guarantee this guy had a lot more than 1.2 grams and chances are he won't get a day of time or probation because he has money.

That's very unprofessional of those MSP officers to take a picture with somebody who was recently arrested. If I were a cop, I wouldn't want to get a photo with any normal person that I had arrested. So there's no way that arresting a celebrity would make it any different. We're all supposed to be equal under the law.
But I guess it could still be worse. At least they seem to be able to act civilly towards each other after the arrest.
Dont forget the MSP officers busted in the O's dugout getting autographs from the Yankee players this past year.

No more jail time for drugs, starting Jan 1 it's a citation now. Posing with the thug, not professional at all. The comments of this is why police get no respect anymore is exactly spot on.

This is the new generation of law enforcement, use the uniform to promote yourself on face book, that's the whole reason for getting into law enforcement, right? To boost your ego, self esteem, and impress women?
It's disturbing that UMES management has chosen to make this individual a KEY guest for their homecoming. Not long ago, they attracted attention for selling racially oriented T Shirts. I sincerely hope that their management comes to realize that UMES is because of a mission to educate the young and help them achieve success as did those before them. It is not about winning political wars. A more meaningful effort would be to recruit motivation speakers for these kids that might push them over the edge to become contributors and leaders in our society to improve life.

If you look at the pic on the Baltimore Sun's page it shows where he posted to Instagram with the following quote. "locked me up then Wanted pictures smh"
It's not a racist comment, but to many thugs it's a right of passage to go to jail and they are proud to be locked up.

While it may not have exhibited the best judgement I am not sure I feel the same outrage as many of you... The suspect was issued a citation (within the current guidelines of the law). I would be outraged if the suspect were summarily released with no action. The photo.. who cares... does it really affect the law and how it is enforced... will these troopers be able to issue citations and make arrest at their next stop.. of course they will...
I don't approve what the officers did, but give the guy a break, he got caught with a very small amount of marijuana that is currently legal in 4% of our nation's states.
Waste of state resources if you ask me. Did they take him in soley for publicity?

7:44pm The law you're referring to took effect in October 2012 and it only applies to possession of marijuana under 10 grams. I'm also willing to bet the Easton trooper cut him loose on a criminal citation due to who he is. In wicomico and Worcester counties MSP will still do a statement of charges instead of a citation.
In regards to the photo op with the arrestee...pretty f'in stupid on the troopers part. They showed a complete lack of judgement and I wouldn't be surprised if the outcome of the possession charge is dropped due to this.
MSP has had to lower its standard for candidates due to the low pay for troopers compared to other agencies....so blame the lack of support for MSP in Annapolis including O'Malley for the hiring of young men/women who obviously have little common sense. Other older, more professional troopers view this as a black mark and an embarrassment - you can't teach common sense....just need to be able to hire better people.
Some of these comments are laughable. Can't anyone spell or use correct grammar anymore? Talk about the dumbing down of society...just check out the Eastern Shore. LOL!

Soooooooo glad we're retired. Thought things within the department were on a downhill slide back in the 70's then felt it really hit bottom in the 90's. Looks like the slide continues.....pitiful
