AG Warning of Holiday Texting Scam

Attorney General Doug Gansler is warning residents about a text message scam that falsely suggests recipients have won a gift card to a store.

The text messages tell recipients that they have won a gift card at a well-known store worth several hundred dollars. They recipients are instructed to go to a website and provide personal information, including credit card or bank account numbers.

i got one today saying "Kayla said you must to see this - (gave me a link to some wintargetnow.com)" i suppose this is the same thing... foolery!

My hubby got that text saying he won a $1,000.00 gift card to Best Buy. Go to a website....etc. We knew it had to be a scam.
