THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL FIELD OF 2016

There will be a few years to figure it out.  But here are seven potential candidates who will want to be inaugurated in four years.

Who would be your choice?

Benjamin Sifrit or maybe Charles Manson. After all, some readers here feel we should give felons a second chance.

McDonnell or Christie.

Not Jeb Bush, he's a good man but enough with the dynasty. Mitch Daniels would be a good choice.

Ron Paul or his clone.

I would say Rand Paul, but he sold out to the party that conspired against his dad.

After the way the party libertarians were treated, I doubt that I'll ever vote Republican again.

Think about it - we got two candidates who were identical on every critical position. There were little differences here or there, but both were going to continue running up huge deficits, keep in place the legislation and executive orders that kill our civil liberties and rights provided under natural law, and participate in starting hostilities across the globe.

You can't really pick a lesser evil. Evil is Evil to any degree. I'm done trying to settle for anything but a candidate that I can positively support.

Paul Ryan? Was just part of a losing ticket. Didn't even help win his own state. Do we learn NOTHING? How about Palin/West? Really? With Obama's dismal record, the Republican Party was defeated. Hopefully we will learn something before 2016. But I am starting to doubt it already.

436-Romney was the reason the GOP lost in 2012. Not Ryan.

I would vote for C. Rice in a heartbeat! This is one smart woman! I don't believe she would run the President, too much crap to put up with, and she is too smart to want that headache!
There was a time I would have said C. Powell; however, him backing Obama the second time around, okay, even the first time around, quickly changed my mind. He would never get my vote!
We need someone with a LOVE for this country, with LOYALTY to this country, with RESPECT for this country and we, the people. I don't think that will not be an easy find now.

None will win until you change your strategies and your archaic believes. Republicans need to start appealing to women, youth and minorities. Until that happens your chances of winning are low.

It won't matter who runs they will lose. The makeup of this country has changed in favor of a socalist society. Just the fact that Romney got less votes that McCain should be all you need to know. In four years it will be even worse (or better, depending on how you see it). Good luck America!

There is nothing to be said after that, My head is crushing right now over the election...

It's such a shame I was born with a brain and I actually elected to use it. What a losing choice!

re: Colin Powell. With all due respect I believe he was acting out of love of country when he pointed out the neo-cons surrounding Romney.

Republicans are hilarious. You scream that Obama ruined the economy. Then tell all the people that are out of work or are working poor that they are just being lazy and want handouts. Then you wonder why those people don't vote for you. Can you say "loony"?

522, you can disagree with Powell's stance of course. But to say a man who served in the armed forces for 35 years, went to war, led our forces during war, and continued to serve the country after receiving appointment directly from the president as not having "love", "loyalty" or "respect" for the US is the highlight of stupidity.

Hopefully during the Rebublican primaries we wont have the same freak show as this time.

Gov. Christy, Ryan did not carry his state. Yes Romney was a bad candidate but you should be able to deliver your state.
