Same-Sex Marriage Supporters Outspend Opponents

Supporters of same-sex marriage are vastly out-fundraising their opponents, according to campaign finance reports.
Marylanders for Marriage Equality has raised $3.2 million, compared to $838,620 raised by the Maryland Marriage Alliance, according to reports filed Friday night.
On the November ballot, state Question 6 will ask voters whether they want to uphold a new law allowing same-sex couples to obtain marriage licenses beginning Jan. 1.
Marylanders for Marriage Equality’s $3.2 million is part of the total of about $3.5 million raised so far by groups supporting same-sex marriage.
