While the motivation behind the low-budget video "Innocence of Muslims" remains unclear, the reasons it has helped fuel attacks and protests at U.S. diplomatic missions in the Middle East and Africa are both emotional and political, experts say.
While it is true that images of Muhammad are not allowed by Islamic law, that doesn't explain the violent reaction, said Hassan Shibly, an imam and civil rights lawyer in Florida who works for the Council on American Islamic Relations.
The reason for the prohibition in the Quran was that Muhammad wanted to discourage idolatry, he explained.

They just wanted an "excuse" to do violent acts against the US on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Those "movies" have been out for some time now, and if that was the sole reason, the violence would have taken place weeks ago.
The movie trailer's been out since June. It's because of Obama and Biden and Co. mentioning bin laden a million times in the past few weeks. Bet you don't hear then mention him anymore. As soon as the White House got word the protesters were chanting "bin laden is one of us" they sent CIA operatives through informants in the crowds to get them riled up over the film to deflect from the real reason. That's how this all works.
Hillary Clinton is mentally incompetent. She acts so bizarre. Today at the ceremony when they brought the bodies of the dead home to the US she spoke. And she brought up the film. I couldn't believe it. The families of the dead are sitting there and she's rambling on about the film. It was almost like she's on drugs or drunk.
Hillary allowed the attacks to occur b/c a security company had been on standby for months for the Embassy. This was a coordinated attack that the hands of Hilary and Obama have blood all over them!

Libya is now unsafe for woman thanks to the fool clinton and the equally as foolish obama.
When quaddafi took control he gave woman rights. Girls were allowed to attend schools and college attendance for woman increased 5 fold. He banned child brides and made the legal age for marriage

Maybe but I tend to believe that after the regime change the posts in Libya were harder if not impossible to fill. This particular embassy just reopened in 2006 after being closed since early 80's after being bombed. Condolezza Rice was instrumental in it's reopening. When Quaddafi was in power that embassy was probably the safest place on earth and you know why? Quaddafi was madly in love with Condolezza. True look it up if you don't believe it.
If the State Dept were run efficiently the Embassy would have been shut down after the regime change. The dead ambassador was of the same mindset as Obama. They believed love and understanding would work. After the regime change the "freedom fighters" started showing their true colors and turned against the US who already had the loyalists to the former regime against them. The clues were all there including in Aug of this year a vehicle transporting the embassy employees was carjacked. The driver was able to subvert the attack and no one was hurt.
