Entrepreneurship On Wheels

Recently, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce ranked Maryland #1 in the nation for entrepreneurship and innovation. With our world-class universities and centers of learning, highly-skilled and educated workforce and continued investment in innovation, we know this to be true. But yesterday, an even more visible sign of our entrepreneurial strength hit our roads.

Run by Startup Maryland, “Pitch Across Maryland” is a statewide bus tour and business pitch contest that highlights Maryland’s many incubators, economic development centers, universities and our most important asset: the talents, skills, ingenuity and creativity of our people. At each stop, the tour will host rallies, talk about resources and connect entrepreneurs with business experts who can provide them with the guidance and help they need to get started and be successful.

To learn more and for a full schedule of events, visit the Startup Maryland website. You can also follow along on Twitter with the hashtag #PitchMD

I’ll be joining them next week in Baltimore as part of our “Jobs and Opportunity” tour and look forward to meeting more of Maryland’s great entrepreneurs.
