William Alemar charged with committing terrorist act

A West Virginia man arrested while running in desert camouflage with an AR-15 training rifle is a member of the Virginia National Guard who served a tour of duty in Iraq, and his father says he's not a terrorist.

Stephen Alemar tells The Hagerstown Herald-Mail that he believes his 23-year-old son, William Alemar, was just trying to stay in shape for his next military assignment when he was arrested near two Martinsburg schools on Monday.

William Alemar was charged with committing a terrorist act after police found him carrying two knives and ammunition clips, and wearing a bulletproof vest. Alemar remained in the Eastern Regional Jail on Tuesday on $50,000 bond.

What did he think was going to happen running around carring a ar-15 looking rifle dress like that and near a school in this day and age. I know it was west virginia. But you still don't.

I could be wrong about this, but aren't those that return home suppose to run with their gear on to stay in shape? I know there's a gentleman that lives nearby me that has run with his camo suit and backpack since he's returned home.

And Fort Hood was just "workplace violence"... This country is really going down... Anyone else read that the AR-15 style weapon was a PELLET GUN??? No, didn't get that far did you?

Yep, stop them from dressing a certain way because YOU don't like it... Just wait until it's YOU being told what to/not to wear. It's coming... How do you feel about FEMA camp chambre?

LOL, it's an air soft gun, little round plastic pellets. :) It was on his chest. The magazines were empty and when they searched his home, they didn't even find a real gun, but another pellet gun and his military gear. They had his shirt laid out on the table for the photo op to make it look like it was more stash, yeah gloves are threatening, also. LOL
