Wicomico Recreation Introduces Convoy 4 Kids & Community Celebration

New Community Event will Support Area Youth

Salisbury, MD – Join Wicomico Recreation & Parks for the Convoy 4 Kids & Community Celebration at Billy Gene Jackson, Sr. Park on Saturday, June 30. This new event will run from 11am-6pm and feature a Recreation & Parks Summer Showcase highlighting current programs, a Bayside All-Star Basketball Game & Slam Dunk Contest (beginning at 12pm), the Convoy 4 Kids Vehicle Parade & Showcase (beginning at 2pm), live DJs, food and craft vendors and other family entertainment and games including bounce houses, corn hole and more. The event will be followed by an on-stage performance of Arabian Nights at 6pm presented by Wicomico Public Library. The community celebration is free and open to the public.

Businesses and individuals are invited to enter their vehicles in the convoy and show their support for our community youth. Participating vehicles will gather at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center for a brunch at noon. The convoy will leave from the Civic Center and arrive at Billy Gene Jackson, Sr. Park at 2pm for a Vehicle Parade & Showcase.
