Statement from Governor Martin O’Malley on PRESIDENT OBAMA’S ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING MARRIAGE EQUALITY

ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 9, 2012) – Governor Martin O’Malley today issued this statement following President Obama’s announcement of support for marriage equality:

“Today, President Obama affirmed that for a people of many different faiths -- a people who are committed to the principle of religious freedom -- the way forward is always to be found through greater respect for the equal rights and human dignity of all.

"In Maryland, we agree.

"Ultimately, we all want the same thing for our children: to live in a loving, stable committed home protected equally under the law."

Finally the Democrats stand up for what is right and just. A few years from now the Republicans will be telling everyone they were really for it all along.

Martin, what's that brown stuff on your nose?

What they do is between them and God. But no one can redefine marriage which is between a man and a woman. God defined it from the beginning. And those who violate God's principles will suffer the consequences along with the nations who condone such acts. Just consider Sodom and Gomorrah. God was really mad!

There is a persistent rumor that O'Malley himself is gay. One of his former assistants tells of his vacations at Deep Creek Lake where O'Malley and his boyfriend always stayed at a certain cottage and his wife always stayed at another across the lake. I would ordinarily dismiss this out of hand but the source is very credible.

Reliable sources say Obama is gay as well and I am convinced he is.

Gay politicians are why this has gotten so far already. Nothing would surprise me. This is sickening and abnormal behavior and should not be condoned, like many other behaviors. This is just one of them that seems to be gaining more acceptance in our country, to our detriment.

God. Does. Not. Own. Marriage.

What if I told you that christians did not create nor did they own the concept of marriage? You people are NOT ENTITLED TO IT.

The disgusting bigotry from commenters on this site never ceases to amaze me. If you don't agree with same sex marriage, that's fine, don't get married to someone of the same sex. You don't get to dictate your morals to the rest of the country.
