MARYLAND STATE POLICE TO HONOR FALLEN HEROES - TROOPER'S NAME TO BE ADDED TO THE MEMORIAL THIS YEAR

(PIKESVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel Marcus L. Brown will lead the ceremony tomorrow to honor state troopers who have given their lives in the line of duty at the annual Maryland State Police Fallen Heroes Ceremony.

Colonel Brown will be joined by some of the surviving family members of the 43 state troopers who made the ultimate sacrifice. They will witness the family of Trooper First Class Shaft Hunter, who gave his life in the line of duty one year ago, unveil his name on the State Police memorial during the Roll Call of Fallen Heroes. Also attending the event will be current and retired state troopers who are there to honor their fellow troopers prior to the start of National Police Week.
