HOT OFF THE PRESS

I just returned from the screen printers with a new load of tee shirts. This time we have men's and women's shirts ranging from women's small, medium, men's medium, large, XL, XXL and XXXL, short sleeve AND long sleeve.

We went through the first 50 in only 3 days and I don't expect this load will take much longer. Nevertheless, if you'd like a free tee shirt I will be here until at least 5:00.

I look forward to seeing/meeting you.

Do you have to live in the city to get one?

JoeAlbero said...

NO. In fact, when we get yard signs we'll encourage them for everyone. Come on in and get one.

I heard Robinson is doing your screen printing, what's up with that?

Going to be loads of fun watching you crash and burn ! I simply cannot wait !

anonymous 3:23, yes, John Robinson is printing these shirts.

I think it's very important that ALL of you realize, it's time we eliminate our differences for the better interest of Salisbury.

John and I have taken the time to sit down and discuss my ideas for Salisbury and we're both very excited.

Mind you, just because John is printing my shirts doesn't mean John is endorcing me for Mayor. He will make that choice when the full field of candidates are on board and I fully respect that.

I encourage ANYONE who has any differences with me to come forward and take the time to openly discuss those differences. Like John, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the end result of that conversation.

Those that refuse to do so will never vote for me anyway and again, I respect that as well.

No matter what is said, you cannot deny that I will be a very difficult candidate to beat. Salisbury News has an incredible following and that in itself will put numbers in my favor. It is what it is.

If they rely on bashing me personally, I truly believe that will backfire. My Wife is fully prepared for the worst and one can only hope they'll leave my Family out of it. Lord knows, things could get very ugly if they don't.

Finally, there's been questions asked I'll quickly address right here. One, what will happen to Salisbury News. Well, the Mayor's job is technically a part time job. There is NO conflict of interest if I continue Salisbury News and I will do just that. Again, get used to it because if there's been ONE way I've been able to fight back it's been based on a Blog in which I created and built by word of mouth. We will continue.

Secondly, as far as the residency thing. I am a resident of Salisbury and a registered voter as well. We have rejected a ton of comments challenging me on this but guess what. I have a Maryland Driver's License and I know where I live, I live in Salisbury, Maryland. Funny how no one ever thought I'd come out and run for Mayor. Funny how no one can prove I live elsewhere because they'd be lying if they said different.

I am an eligable candidater that fully intends to file in September.

For the first time in years, I'm actually excited and looking forward to an election! Mr. Joe, I'm sure the current leaders/main players are scrambling around to either put a quick fix/bandaid on certain things or the opposite...meaning, they are afraid that you will win and will do their best to leave the worst mess for you to clean up that they can come up with.

Joe, I have a family member in Salisbury who will be voting for you because you will treat Debbie Campbell and Terry Cohen with the respect they deserve and have earned.

Jack Richards said "get good people to run for office." Jack, you would never remember me from the old days, but I remember you and "our" Salisbury.

We have 3 of the smartest people on council in Debbie, Terry and Tim Spies that we have had in YEARS. But our child mayor treats them like dirt, throws temper tantrums, spends all his time on photo opps, you name it. He got where he did on Debbie and Terry's coattails. I know that for a fact because my family member only voted for him in the primary because of that. She really wanted Bob Caldwell, but decided at the last minute that because he was "an ally" of Campbell and Cohen, that he really meant all the things he said.

Sad for Salisbury, it was another Louise Smith ploy.

Yes, Salisbury needs more GOOD council people, TWO of them, and a grown up like Joe as mayor. Wish I could vote for him, but I am out in the county.

Joe,you need an idea box so citizens can give you input on needs in the city and possibly expand your horizons.

Will you get rid of John Pick, Lore Chambers and Rick Hoppes?

JoeAlbero said...

Anonymous 8:23, Great Idea! However, whether you know it or not, I've been dabbling with survey questions of the day just for that very reason for more than a year now.

anonymous 8:48, Absolutely not. However, you may want to reverse that question by directing it towards them, will they work for me?

While there will be a LOT of house cleaning to do, nothing will ever be done out of spite. YOU deserve a professional Mayor who will come in and see who's doing what. If ANY employee isn't carrying their weight and the position isn't necessary it will be eliminated, based on Council's aproval, of course.

Kelli, my Office is at 300 W. Main Street in Downtown Salisbury.

Getting rid of the three in reference to 8:48 PM wouldn't be done out of spite. I know who will not get my vote!
