Incident: DUI
Date of Incident: 29 April 2012
Location: E. Lincoln Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Morris Timothy Batdorf, 31, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 29 April 2012 at 6:18 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded for a reported motor vehicle accident at the intersection of E. Lincoln Avenue and Edgar Drive in Salisbury. Upon arrival, the deputy met with the at fault driver, Morris Batdorf, and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from him. The deputy began a battery of field sobriety testing on
Batdorf, after which the deputy placed Batdorf under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Batdorf refused to submit to a breath test.

The deputy transported Batdorf to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. Batdorf was released upon the issuance of citations pending a future court appearance.

Incident: Burglary Investigation

Location: 11000 block of Riverton Wharf Road, Mardela Springs, MD
Suspect: Pending

Narrative: On 30 April 2012 at 5:35 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office investigated a residential burglary in the 11000 block of Riverton Wharf Road in Mardela Springs.

Investigation revealed than an unknown suspect entered the residence during daytime hours taking jewelry and household electronics. It is believed entry was made through a door that was left open.
