Dover – The following checkpoint is scheduled to take place Friday as part of the Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign:
Friday May 25th – Newport (NcCo DUI Task Force)
The Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign is a crackdown on impaired driving. Delaware will be conducting 2 DUI checkpoints each month until July when weekly DUI checkpoints will resume. This campaign is aimed at removing impaired drivers from our roadways and deterring those who might otherwise choose to drive after drinking alcohol or using drugs.
The Office of Highway Safety reminds motorists that traffic deaths kill and injure Delawareans nearly twice as often as violent crimes. For more information on Checkpoint Strikeforce visit www.ohs.delaware.gov and follow regular campaign updates on Twitter at www.twitter.com/DEHighwaySafe and Facebook www.facebook.com/ArriveAliveDE .

make sure you have your 'papers'. seig heil?
If stopped, DO NOT ANSWER any questions to these stormtroopers.
If everyone just took the detour, or turned around, THAT might piss them off enough to stop this Nazi crap. Picture that. a dozen cops watching dozens, hundreds of cars just avoiding the whole gestapo shakedown....non-violent protest at its best. The police after all, DO say you don't have to proceed through the checkpoint. Its voluntary. Quit volunteering for the surrender of your right ot be free of unreasonable searches (they ARE stopping INNOCENT people to see IF they are committing a crime) and your right to travel freely. Doesn't INNOCENCE carry any weight with the stormtroopers or do they think they have the right to disregard the Constitution? I'm going with "disregard the Constitution".
