One area where I agree with conservatives. This whole label issue was an over reach by the Obama admin. Not to mention a dumb regulation; if smokers are unaware of the risks at this point, then they deserve to succumb from the "dum dum gene". Charge them higher health insurance premiums and call it a day.

They should also charge higher health premiums for anyone who eats at McDonald's more than 3 times a week, people who get disability for " I am a diabetic " which is NOT a disability in most cases and young girl's on Welfare who claim they can't work because they are pregnant. Being pregnant is NOT a disability.

12:13, actually I would advocate for the insurance companies to charge higher premiums to those people not maintaining commonly held standards of good health (cholesterol, triglycerides, blood sugar, weight, etc.). And if you plan on receiving gov. healthcare, this should definetly be a requirement!

Slippey slope my friends..so by your logic the death panels are not far behind ..when the gov gets involved in HC this is what going to happen!! Wake up..stop this madness its a free country, if someone wants to smoke or eat themselves to death who am I to spoil that person liberty to do so..I'm sure some bad habits you may have will be a reason for the gov to deny you someday..maybe when your 60 and have eaten FDA poison all your life ..start this and it will never end..NEVER NEVER let the gov get a foot into any part of our personal lives
