The Jobs Act

America has always offered immense opportunity because innovators have had the ability to take risks, work hard and be rewarded for it. Innovators, entrepreneurs and small business start-ups built the framework for American success.

Companies like Ford, Apple, and Boeing started as small businesses and became industry leaders, creating high-quality jobs and boosting economic growth. More recently, companies like Google and Facebook were launched by a single idea and then revolutionized the way we live.

Economic growth happens in the private sector, through small business start-ups with entrepreneurs who work hard, take risks and create jobs. Yet, Washington has made it too difficult for startups to get moving and succeed.

Working with some of our country's leading entrepreneurs and with leaders of both political parties, we have crafted legislation designed to make sure that America will once again be country where start-ups can thrive.

It's called the JOBS Act - a compilation of ideas that have strong bipartisan support, which are focused on making it easier and less expensive for entrepreneurs to hire people.

Click here to watch a video that outlines the proposals in the JOBS Act.

Small businesses are the job growth engine in this country. The JOBS Act represents an important opportunity for both parties to work together to help small business start-ups grow, create jobs, and get the economy back on track.

Eric Cantor
Majority Leader

Eric,
Your intentions are good, but the problem snowballed in only one fashion... the continual making of one law after another tightening the choke hold inch by inch month after month.

Making another law is the wrong approach.

Repealing laws is how to get the job done.

Now either make a repeal list or go home.
