Prosecutors Want Johnson To Pay Fine Before Prison

GREENBELT, Md. - Prosecutors say former Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson has the money to pay a $100,000 fine related to his extortion conviction before he heads to prison.

The Washington Times reports that a motion was filed on Wednesday that requests Johnson pay the fine up front rather than in installments after his release. Prosecutors for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland say Johnson has nearly $212,000 in cash that could be used to pay the fine.
