DENTON Back from a three-day MACo retreat at the Hyatt Regency Resort in Cambridge, newly promoted Caroline County Commission President Larry Porter wondered whether spending county money to participate in the Maryland Association of Counties was worth the investment.
Porter is now at the helm as the trio of county commissioners has decided to rotate leadership duties on an annual basis. Wilbur Levengood Jr. is now vice president and chairman of the Board of Estimates, and former president Jeff Ghrist is now chairman of the Roads Board.
