BP Solar - Frederick, MD Announces Closure of Entire Plant In 2012

BP Solar announced yesterday that it will be shutting down all of its remaining operations by early next year - 2012 and that the last 80 employees may be without jobs.

The building at one time had as many as 500 employees.

No,I dont beleive it.Solar,wind and green energy are the perfect business model of what not to do in business-produce what people don't want at a high price they cant afford!

Maryland has a long and illusive history of running businesses out of our state.

This is just another prime example.

Before too long they'll run Perdue out of MD too...although Perdue has already ditched a bunch of high-tech positions - and lost as many afterward voluntarily.

I wouldn't blame MD, like the first comment said, we can't afford it, and don't want it!
