Dagsboro Woman Dies From Injuries Sustained In October 27th Crash

Millville-The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating an October 27 crash that claimed the life of Joann L. Mcanallen-77 of Dagsboro.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the crash occurred on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at approximately 9:09 p.m. as Joann L. Mcanallen was operating a 2008 Saturn SC southbound on Holts Landing Road approaching a stop sign at the intersection of Vines Creek Road. Mcanallen failed to stop for the stop sign, traveling into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala operated by Susan K. White, which was traveling westbound on Vines Creek Road. The vehicles collided within the intersection with Impala’s front striking the driver’s side of the Saturn.

Joann Mcanallen was transported to Beebe Hospital and then later transferred to Christiana Hospital Trauma Center and admitted. The Delaware State Police were notified that Mcanallen died at CCHS on Monday, November 7, 2011 at approximately 8:00 p.m. from injuries sustained in the crash.
