Alaska is facing a life threatening winter storm with near hurricane force winds, more than a foot of snow and severe coastal flooding, the National Weather Service says.
"This is an extremely dangerous and life-threatening storm which will be one of the worst on record over the Bering Sea and the west coast," NWS forecasters said in a bulletin Monday afternoon.

A month or so back we just survived a life threatening Hurricane on the east coast. Turned out to be a little rain and a mild breeze. So much for the end of the world forcast by NWS.
Everything is hyped these days.
Hope they get those deadliest catch fishermen ashore. It should be required! no you can't go out in it. We don't want to lose anyone trying to rescue you.
