Narrative: On 19 October 2011 at 1:44 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Beaglin Park Drive operated by Ryan Rivera for a non-functioning tail lamp. While speaking with Rivera, the deputy detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from Rivera.
When asked why he was suspended, Rivera told the deputy it was for a previous DUI arrest. The deputy administered field sobriety tests on Rivera and determined that Rivera was currently operating his vehicle

The deputy also discovered a Wicomico County Circuit bench Warrant for failure to appear for a hearing on Oct 14, 2011 for a charge arising out of a previous DUI case.
The deputy subsequently transported Rivera to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and booked into the Detention Center.
