Former Lobbyists Are In Top Spots On Toomey's Staff

Some of the top spots on Sen. Pat Toomey's (R-Pa.) staff are occupied by former lobbyists.

The lawmaker is one of 12 members on the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, or "super committee." LegiStorm is profiling the revolving door ties of these dozen members.

LegiStorm has identified at least four of Toomey's current staffers who previously lobbied, including his chief of staff, Chris Gahan. We have also found an additional 14 former Toomey staffers who have also registered as lobbyists, moving through the revolving door between K Street and Capitol Hill.

The Obama administration has nearly 300 lobbyists on the payroll. Of course, he said "No lobbyists" but he doesn't even believe what he says.
