Union Goes To Court To Prevent NY Bus Drivers From Transporting Arrested Wall Street Protesters

The New York Transport Workers Union went to court to block New York City and the NYPD from forcing bus drivers to transport arrested Wall Street protestors.

After police rounded up and arrested 700 peaceful demonstrators on the Brooklyn Bridge over the weekend – the NYPD commandeered 3 city buses to haul off the demonstrators.  Now – the Transport Workers Union is going to court to make sure that doesn’t happen again.  TWU President John Samuelson said, “TWU Local 100 supports the protesters on Wall Street and takes great offense that the mayor and NYPD have ordered operators to transport citizens who were exercising their constitutional right to protest — and shouldn’t have been arrested in the first place.”  This week – other unions are expected to join the Occupy Wall Street movement – swelling the number of demonstrators in Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park to its highest numbers yet.  Now with the support of major labor unions – the Occupy Wall Street movement has some teeth.

Where's the outrage that the police (armed agent of the government) arrested people for protesting? They were NOT throwing rocks, burning cars, smashing glass and destroying property. But merely exercising their RIGHT to protest . PEACEFULLY. The police did their best to antagonize them and incite them to resist so they show on the nightly news what a bunch of violent criminals they were. And have a reason to beat and kill. That plan didn't work. So, ridiculing them hasn't slowed them down or stopped them. Arresting them ain't working either. The bankers are starting to worry that maybe this will start gaining some REAL attention and their scams and robbery will come to the forefront of the national attention. Maybe if they could plant some drugs on them....hmmmm. Maybe "find" some explosives....hmmmm. Some guns and swords! Or all of those things!! Yeah yeah!! THAT'S the ticket!! Turn them into TERRORISTS! THEN, every fat ace beer swizzling jerk in the country will stand up and give the Nazi salute because the government is handling the "terrorist" protesters. Then they'll send some more of our money to Wall Street in case they are down to their last 200 billion dollars.

7:13 Maybe they were arrested for blocking traffic on a bridge. Can't rewrite the facts.
