Moore was a brilliant man. What he said then is still true today. I've said it many times --- Congress, made up of mostly millionaires, continues to craft laws and rules designed to protect and enhance the wealth of their fellow millionaires. The well-being of the middle class (and the nation itself) matters little to them. They use entitlements to assuage the poor to keep them from uprising. They try to convince the middle class that they can "make a difference" by voting, when in fact, it doesn't matter WHO you vote for --- the results are the same. These are the machinations of the upper class, the ruling elite, the public masters. History shows, and cannot be refuted or denied, that revolution and civil uprising WILL be the result. They KNOW it. Hence the rise of all kinds of "tracking", para-mailitary forces, "surveillance", secret searches and trials, etc. They (the rich) want to put the hammer down on ANY subversive threats to their wealth and power as soon as they can. It AIN'T "terrorists" they are trying to discover and suppress. And the only people wearing "tin-foil" hats are the ones using them to cover up their eyes and ears so as to remain happily subservient.

I think you might have the wrong person. Are you referring to Thomas Moore, the 19th century Irish poet? There are a number of famous people named Thomas Moore (two "o"s).
The blog post is correct in the spelling -- Thomas More (one "o") wrote Utopia. He lived in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. He was an English lawyer, social philosopher, and author.

There always has and always will be a class system in any society.Under a free enterprise system, people at least have the oppurtunity to rise or fall in class,regardless of the government.
