C'mon,does Salisbury really need another drug store?
Better a drug store than another fast food joint
It's sad to see, as Benedict's has been an icon of Salisbury for many decades. A feature article in the Daily Times by Brice Stump gave many of the reasons for the Benedicts' calling it quits. While retirement may have been a factor, there were many other reasons. But 9:27 asks a good question: Do we need another drug store? Before you know it, one of the existing drug stores will be closing its doors. All in the name of "progress."
Just what Salisbury needs, another drug store! Isn't there an empty one on Mt. Hermon Road? It's hard to believe that there is any real planning in the city or the county.
I thought Salisbury University was going to purchase the property etc.
