The recession ended 2 years ago. Now we're in a depression.
every thing still is the same for our family nothing has changed lack of work and high overhead I say yes
We have been, and still are in a recession.
It never ended. I believe it's worse now than it's ever been. We are continually being lied to by government officials who will do and say anything to stay in office. Look for the government to say that the current quarter shows growth even though their are man indicators that show that the economy continues to recede. We have been in financially dire straits for years now and that hasn't changed. Get ready folks. Time is short. Prepare. Prepare. Prepare.
The announcement from the Osama, I mean Obama administration 2 years ago that the recession was over was just as premature as “Mission Accomplished” by Pres Bush. This country is in a DEPRESSION, the real numbers of unemployed say so, not the numbers whom are still drawing benefits, but add those whom have exhausted theirs to it and it is around 22% unemployed. God help us if this A$$hole gets in for 4 more years!
LOOK at the housing industry. Practically nothing going on in new construction. Dealers and builders closing up shop due to lack of work.
Until that changes, the rest of the economy will remain in the tank.
All the recent "recessions" we have experienced were over with the housing market having a decent recovery. No so, this time around.

Drive by Allied Building Supply on Moss Hill Lane. Take-a-look at the Auction sign. This says it all. We are in a depression. There is virtually no construction, unemployment is at 9.1%, true unemployment rate is in excess of 20%, gas is $3.50/gallon and it 'ain't getting better'.
