SANTA FE, New Mexico - A New Mexico state police officer has been fired after security cameras caught him having sex with a woman on the hood of a car.
Officer Bert Lopez's dismissal from the New Mexico State Police was confirmed by The Santa Fe New Mexican on Saturday. The newspaper said Lopez has 30 days to appeal the firing.
The surveillance photos were taken from a motion-triggered security camera positioned at the front gate of the county-owned La Bajada Ranch south of Santa Fe. The encounter was at the remote Canyon Ranch.

More and more and more. I don't want to be a nit picker, but geesh. Even CBS misspells words nowadays.
Everybody seems to have gotten lazy about how they communicate.

12:21, I agree. As a retired English teacher, I am offended by all the errors that could easily be corrected through careful proofreading. I'm glad I have company on the issue.
Regarding this issue, why in the world do people such as this policeman place their jobs in jeopardy? I guess they think that they'll never be found out. Chances are they will, as this story proves. The man lost a very fine job just for you-know-what. He will no doubt find it difficult to get another job. I'll never understand why anyone would do this for a little short-term thrill.

I think IGNORED would be a more descriptive term. Some people just refuse to learn.
8:42 English teachers are outdated? That's an interesting observation. It may account for all of the errors one sees on this blog. So if they're outdated, who is going to take their place? 9:10, I think you're right.
