LOS ANGELES (AP) -- NAACP leaders are calling on members to launch an unprecedented drive to get minorities to vote in 2012.
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People officials are telling the organization's annual convention Wednesday that the NAACP will reach out to black churches, fraternities and sororities to register and educate voters over the next year.

This is good, as long as it isn't a program to get people out to vote for somebody because of what color they are.
The voters DO need to be educated-- they need to be shown exactly what the Obama/democrat policies are doing to destroy whatever hopes they had for getting anywhere in life. They need to make the connection between these policies and the high gas prices they pay, the high food prices they pay, the credit they can't get, the price of clothing, the high fees for vehicle tags and registration, the high rent they pay..
If each one of us could help just 2 or 3 of these people understand how their lives are being destroyed by these policies, maybe the next election will be more than a vote for somebody's race or a lock-step vote for a party that has kept them in chains.

Obama and his cronies don't want educated voters, they want blind sheep or lemmings.
it's a shame that many in the minority community vote straight demo. they simply don't realize that the demos like to keep them dumb (public schools); uninformed and dependent on the government for their crumbs. the demos love it that they seem to be satisfied with the crumbs they are getting from the government and they don't want this community to get ahead.
the few that have seen the truth and risen up to get the education they need to succeed or have worked very hard to get ahead and truly learn how the financial segment works are "bashed" by the liberals as being "uncle toms" because of their success. what a shame.
they NEVER ask themselves why are we still in this horrible condition after all these years? it's like we keep doing the samethings over and over and over with the same results. DUH.....

Yes, 10:15, and we all know what doing the same things over and over again with same result means....INSANITY!! I agree with everything you posted. Keeping minorities on welfare is the same as slavery. The only way out is education. But, they have NO incentive to do anything thanks to the Democrats who want to give them more and more to keep them happy and keep them voting DEMOCRAT!! What do you think would happen if the Tea Party launched a drive to take people to the polls to vote WHITE?!?
