Foes and supporters of embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner yelled at each other in front of the New York Democrat's district office on Sunday as congressional leaders called on Weiner to resign amid a sexting scandal.
"He's not fit to be our congressman," said Jim Scott, 61, one of about two dozen constituents who rallied in front of Weiner's office in the Kew Gardens section of Queens. "People are sick of him, especially his attitude."
Weiner said Saturday that instead of resigning over the scandal, he was seeking professional treatment and asking for a leave of absence from Congress.

Will he also be taking "a leave of absence" from his princely paycheck? After all, if he cannot serve the public in the capacity for which he is paid, does he think he can absolve himself of those duties, but still be paid for them? Sadly, I'm sure that what he thinks. Sort of the way all politicians think when they spend MONTHS on the campaign trail, not doing the job they are supposed to do, but still getting fat checks form the public trough....
If our leaders could get together with the same kind of conviction to insist that Wall Street and the banks be punished for their crimes, their "oh so holy morality" might actually mean something...but in this case all they've done is underscore the fact that it's more of a crime to tweet your junk than it is to steal from the American people and bring down the economy!
