FREDERICK CO., Md. (WUSA) -- Nearly 100 dogs and 7 birds were taken by Frederick County Animal Control officers Thursday from a home in Brunswick.
Officials say the investigation began Wednesday after officers received an anonymous complaint of multiple dogs not being properly cared for at 108 East A Street.
Animal Control Director Harold Domer says officers initially were met with resistance as they attempted to enter the home, and once inside, they found the conditions to be "horrendous."
