LOCATION: S/B Route 13 S/O Stage Road, Delmar, MD 21875

INCIDENT: Motor vehicle collision

BRIEF RESUME:

On the above date and time troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barracks were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision. Through the investigation it was learned that vehicle two, a Chevrolet Malibu, was stopped near the shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle was partially into an acceleration lane and partially on the shoulder with its four-way flashers activated. The vehicle was being operated by Samuel Toney of Duryea, Pennsylvania. Vehicle one, a Honda CRV, was traveling southbound, when for an unknown reason the vehicle traveled from the lanes of travel and collided with the rear of vehicle two. The vehicle was being operated by Stephanie Damon of Richmond Hill, New York. The eight occupants from both vehicles were transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and were discharged shortly after 9:00 AM. The driver of the vehicle one was charged with negligent driving for the collision.
