Detectives Investigate Possible Drowning

Victim:  Charlotte Pritchard, 52, Harrington, DE

Harrington- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an apparent drowning that occurred late this morning at a residence in Harrington, DE.
 
The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. this morning after troopers were called to respond to the report of a drowning that had occurred in the 2000 block of Brownsville Road, Harrington. Upon their arrival, troopers were advised that Charlotte Pritchard, 52, had been found unconscious in the back yard swimming pool of the home by her daughter. The daughter attempted to remove her mother from the pool and called 9-1-1. EMS responded to the residence and began CPR on Charlotte Pritchard and then transported her to the Milford Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her body was turned over to the medical examiners office where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. It is believed that Charlotte Pritchard was in the pool for approximately 45 minutes before being discovered.
 
This incident is still currently under investigation. No further details are available at this time.
