Does Raising Taxes = Leadership?

Even in staid Carroll County you can’t get away from the ridiculous notions of the loony left.  At the Carroll County Times, Dean Minnich is chastising the county commissioners for cutting spending AND cutting the tax rate!

Why would those foolish, evil county commissioners do such a thing?  They promised to during last year’s election campaign.

That’s right!  In the eyes of people like Minnich, BREAKING YOUR WORD EQUALS LEADERSHIP.

Just like a few public officials here on the Shore (but notice, not as many AFTER November’s election), people like too many in the mainstream media believe that RAISING TAXES = LEADERSHIP.  They think that it is somehow courageous.

I have some news for Minnich and his like-minded compadres – It’s NEVER difficult to spend OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY!  REAL courage is exhibited by those elected officials who live within their means and then treat the taxpayers’ money as if it were their own.

What about Wayne Strasberger shilling for Pollitt's tax increase right here in Wicomico County?
