House GOP Sets the Floor on Debt Ceiling

--Senior GOP congressional aide discussing with Power Play today’s vote on an unconditioned, $2.4 trillion increase in the federal borrowing limit.
In case Democrats need any convincing of how difficult it is going to be to obtain President Obama’s requested increase in the federal borrowing limit, House Republicans will remind them today.
More than 100 House Democrats recently signed a letter demanding that Speaker John Boehner bring forward a vote for an increase in federal debt levels without any conditions for cuts or future spending curbs. Imagine their surprise when Boehner agreed and will serve up a bill that would provide enough borrowing to cover all of president Obama’s spending requests for next year without any preconditions.

The truth of the matter is that the Deficit wasn't a problem until the Bush Tax Cuts was instituted iln 2001. After that, unemployment grew (20 million jobs lost) and the deficit grew ($6.25 Trillion to $11 Trillion). Public Works is a proven way to get people back to work, China uses it and Germany uses it. Like a new pair of sketchers, it takes your toes off of the ground and puts you in the race.
Organizing & mobilizing is critical. Restore the Democratic-Republic from corporate & despotic-oligarchs that are oppressing citizens by suppressing their rights, severing just representation, access to government, & your health. For how long & to what extent would a movement require that would resolve a lifetime of indentured servitude, restore freedom, restore your rights, & end socio-economic disparity? Think of it like weathering a natural disaster but it must happen now.
