Michael Moore: "America Is NOT Broke"

America is not broke.

Contrary to what those in power would like you to believe so that you'll give up your pension, cut your wages, and settle for the life your great-grandparents had, America is not broke. Not by a long shot. The country is awash in wealth and cash. It's just that it's not in your hands. It has been transferred, in the greatest heist in history, from the workers and consumers to the banks and the portfolios of the uber-rich.

Today just 400 Americans have the same wealth as half of all Americans combined.

Let me say that again. 400 obscenely rich people, most of whom benefited in some way from the multi-trillion dollar taxpayer "bailout" of 2008, now have as much loot, stock and property as the assets of 155 million Americans combined. If you can't bring yourself to call that a financial coup d'état, then you are simply not being honest about what you know in your heart to be true.

And I wasn't have a bad enough day already. This is no secret sheeple. Wake up and smell the coffee. Hard working Americans are nothing but door mats for the rich and powerful. Get used to it, tis the way of the world.

Someone needs to tell Michael Moore that it was his democratic and big government friends that gave them all that tax money.

The top 20% pay 80% of all federal revenues, yet all we ever hear is that "The rich don't pay their fair share". You know who pays for those entitlement programs you love so much? Yep, the rich.

400 against 155 MILLION??? and there are people who actually DEFEND this as okay?? And PLEASE, do not say that they EARNED it. You can't be that naive. Perhaps that stupid, but not that naive.

I never thought I would live to see the readers of this blog agree with Michael Moore.

Has there been a sudden influx of sensibility? Did everyone switch parties? Or, are you already figuring out a way to prove he is right by blaming the liberals.

I am going with number 3.

Well-said, 1:10. What a whack-job is Michael Moore! I have trouble with anything emanating from his mouth. I watched the first 2 or 3 minutes of his video, but I had a dinner to attend and didn't want to ruin my appetite.

Uh, 1:38, I don't think you got what I was saying...
