Ahh the industrial military complex being used yet again to take our eye off the ball. Feed the complex to stave off poverty. It wont work forever. We will be in Libya before the end of this month. Everytime we have financial troubles, we start a war.
All I see is apc's, its a possibility that they are going to another base, or even a private contractor for demil or repair. I know that there is the Delaware river Armored Vehicle manufacturer up in PA that services and repairs armored vehicles and builds tanks.
JRTC LA or to beaumont TX to be shipped OCONUS. My guess is JRTC for maneauver training of some sort. However, if there is a medical unit mobing out ft Fort Hood TX, bet on Beaumont TX for shipment to, drum roll please--- AFGANISTAN. Tracked vehicles are making a comeback of sorts in AFGAN but M113s don't do well against IEDs but some armor is better than nothing. With all that said, I would bet on JRTC LA. Army needs to work on the Heavy end of full spectrum operations. If the next agressor has tanks, we will have to shift focus to tanks, DIVARTY and mechanized infantry. Counter insurgency doesn't work against fact moving armor. Global hot spots to watch are: Korea and some concern is building about Europe and its debt crisis. It only stands to reason that Germany would get wobbly just after we remove the bulk of our forces. Not much US military left there anymore. Crazy? Portugal is about to deault on loans primarily held by Germany and this is considered the first domino of the unstainable loan programs designed by the European Union. Europeans don't trust one another as much as we think they do. Ask yourself if the current times will be remembered as prewar or postwar in the anals of History. No, AFGAN and Iraq are not declared wars.
Joe, it could be a couple of things. While stationed at Ft. Hood we would ship our equipment by railway either to California or Lousiana for training. The other ting is that they could be heading to the gulf for shipment over seas, but usually as a new unit takes over a command they just hand down the vehicles already there.

From Mexican manufacturing plant to various military bases.

the Chinese are reposessing them
These are old M113's, outdated Vietnam era APC's probably selling them to a third world country.
