VERY FIRST ASSIGNMENT FOR WICOMICO'S NEW INTERNAL AUDITOR

In light of recent scandals in Wicomico County and Worcester County Liquor Control Boards - my suggestion to the Wicomico County Council is to assign the newly appointed auditor to be tasked to investigate the inner workings of Wicomico County Liquor Control Board.  Specifically - computation and payment of revenues pursuant to Maryland Senate Bill - 574  http://mlis.state.md.us/2005rs/bills/sb/sb0574t.pdf
This should prove to be very interesting in light of the methodology used in determining revenue liability - and payment dates.

As a taxpayer, I agree that this is a great opportunity for the internal auditor as well as the taxpayers. Go get them.

10:11...can you please explain what Conway and Cane have to do with the Worcester LCB?

Conway happens to be a powerful delegate for 38B. All of Worcester County happens to be located in that district. If you can't talk him in to sponsoring a bill to abolish the LCB then you are up the creek without a paddle unfortunately. And if you think I am kidding, just ask Norm.

Another way to abolish the LCB in both Wicomico & Worcester Counties is to call on the local elected officials to put on the ballot so we can vote to eliminate them. If the majority of the citizens vote for it Norm would almost have to support legislation to support the will of the people.
