TSA-Style Pat Downs Hit The Streets

In Philadelphia, you don’t have to visit the airport to have the government molest you, TSA-style “stop, question and frisk” pat downs are already being conducted by police on the streets targeting people who act suspicious, by doing things like putting their hands in their coat pocket.

Ahh yes the liberal utopia we all heard so much about. Anyone who votes Democrat must really hate this country.

Aren't both parties responsible for the creation of this weird Homeland Security?

It seems Orwellian to me, but at least it resembles the Nazi Gestapo in many ways. Why would police in America think it is OK to search people without evidence a crime has been committed?

11:08 Who put this policy in place ? All Bush did was wire tap and the Dems had a cow now look at what they're doing what a crock.

so? the police are pulling over offenders and suspicious people. and although i agree with the TSA rule, at least TSA are frisking EVERYONE without suspicion.

All Bush did was wiretap? And that's okay with you?

Our country is in deep trouble. Americans don't seem to understand the meaning of basic human rights to be left alone and not hassled by its police and government. We are totally mind controlled

Hey idiots, why don't you actually read deeper into the context of these pat downs. Nutter has been aggressively looking for ways to fight crime in Philly, which not so long ago was the Murder Capital and still ranks near the top. The police are going after the same young punks selling drugs on the street corner and shooting up the block that you complain about here in Salisbury. Everything is not about some crazy "Hitler takeover of the world" people.

The police KNOW this is "unreasonable" search...they do it anyway. Why? Because we have a nation full of people who believe "as long as you aren't doing anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about"...they don't have ANY knowledge of our country's history, or any knowledge of world history, or even a basic understanding of the Bill Of Rights. THEY think supporting the government and its armed agents doing things like stopping INNOCENT citizens to see IF they are committing any crimes is a sign of patriotism. When did "putting your hands in your pockets" (maybe just to keep them warm??) become "suspicious"? And grounds for a search? My God. We are in DEEP TROUBLE. Seig heil!!

I think this is great , I don't have anything to worry about if they stop me.(just can't carry my pistol in that city)

I'm glad Bush wire tapped... It just shows how hypocritical Democrats are.

Here is what people do not think about when they say I have nothing to worry about, or if you aren't committing crimes you have nothing to worry about, etc

Imagine a Democratic Administration deciding that Republican Voters need to be eliminated just before an election day. Imagine they decide to search anyone suspected of being a Republican . . . you see?

Or a Republican Administration deciding . . .

Or you have decided vaccines are not for you or your family. So then the authorities question you about your decision or your decision on behalf of your kids, etc

There are a lot of scenarios where an average person may not want to be searched or questioned by police and there could be abuses of power. The point is this: In America it used to be against the law for police to search you without a just cause or a court order. There was a presumption of innocence for ALL people. We had a right to be left alone as long as we weren't harming someone else. That is no longer. We now live in a Police State

1:57....Ya just don't get it do ya?? There is ALWAYS a "good reason" for warantless searches, secret trials, wiretapping without warrant, Nazi-type "checkpoints' searching and detaining INNOCENT citizens while police look for POSSIBLE crimes (without cause)-- read the Constitution and you'll find that particular wording--- and it ALWAYS is justified by "its for your own good"....well, most people don't want someone else determining what is for "my own good", ESPECIALLY when it is in DIRECT VIOLATION of the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and sealed with the blood of hundreds of thousands of brave Americans. Americans are really getting fed up with people in authority trampling on these rights and, like you, telling us its for our own good. Pretty much what Hitler told the Jews. How'd it work out for them?

It's so nice that the boy, who thinks all of us are idiots, comes here to help us see the light.
