Redskins Game Was Suite

Well, maybe the game itself wasn't so great but hanging out with a bunch of Eastern Shore Friends in an Executive Suite was an unbelievable experience.

If you watched the Redskins yesterday you probably threw the remote at the TV several times, especially when the kicker failed to get the football between the posts several times.

We were amazed at how many people sat in the cold rain during the entire game but these are real fans who spent mega bucks just to get into the game.

Back when I lived on the Western Shore we'd go to quite a few games at the old stadium. This was my first visit to the new stadium and while it was quite impressive, the Redskins failed to deliver a win. Man, talk about coming close though, several times.

Have any of you been to the new stadium? I know quite a few people that go to the Ravens games. I'm just wondering how many people still support the Redskins.

Never been in FedEx Field, My days going to NFL games was back in the AFL era. Saw several Kansas City Chefs games back in the 1960s and 70s at the prototype stadium to FedEx Field, Arrow Head stadium and old Municipal Stadium.

Yes. I went to RFK the last year the Redskins played there, and Fed-Ex Field the first year it was open. I am a lifetime 'Skins fan, unlike those fair-weather loser Ravens fans.

The Redskins have always been my team and will continue to be despite their ineptness. I've been to Fedex field twice but my wife goes to several games there every year.

Skins couldn't pull it out even though the refs were in their back pocket... I mean c'mon, they scored their final points on FIFTH down! The football gods corrected this with the botched snap on the extra point attempt to tie the game... Victory was SWEET for all of us Buccaneers fans! GO BUCS!

Go Bucs!! Even a sloppy and inept win is a win. Hopefully these "kids" will get better with more experience. jackkcharl@aol.com (here in chilly Florida)

Had club seats for years. Gave them up last year. What a waste of money. Danny boy has killed the skins. The fan experience sucks. The team sucks. I won't ever go again.

The historic Redskins Teams were great I however suffer thru games now as a lifetime fan wishing for Danny Boy to go broke and get a good owner!

Bryan Fykes, there was no fifth down. Fox was wrong. Read the news today and you will see that there was a first down but the booth did not see it and failed to notice that the chains were gone (indicating first and goal). Even though it was a nasty rainy day, I was there to support my team. No matter how bad the team is, I will always be a Skins fan! HTTR

as an eagles fan i hope Danny boy and jerry jones both live for a long long time! I don't think I could even screw those teams up that much on purpose!
fedex? just don't wander into the local neighborhoods, I now to many people who been mugged and robbed after games by not being aware of their surroundings! get right on the expressway and get out of there!

I am and always have been a Redskin fan. I've been 2 the stadium once and it was a lot of fun. That game yesterday really pissed me off. The field goal misses and then the botched snap at the end of the game had me screaming quite loudly at them. Believe me when I say it was not nice what I was saying. I hate Dan Snyder as an owner. I saw Joe Gibbs at the game yesterday sitting with Snyder. Maybe he will buy the team from Snyder. I still miss RFK stadium and the way it "rocked". It was so much fun. e

There was no 5th down

1st & 10 from the 12 - Pass for 12 yards to Anthony Armstong. (This is what the commentator's missed)

1st & Goal from the 2 - Incomplete pass intended for Williams

2nd Goal from the 2 - Hand off to Torain for loss of 4 yard

3rd & Goal from the 6 - Incomplete pass intended for Davis

4th & Goal from the 6 - Pass for 6 yards to Moss for the TD

What the commentators missed was the first down from the pass to Anthony on 1st & 10 on the previous set of downs. I was actually commenting on how oblivious they must be since the chains were GONE indication 1st and Goal.

C'mon Bryan Fykes with your "Skins couldn't pull it out even though the refs were in their back pocket"

Did you see the MASSIVE hold on Orakpo that went uncalled on the Bucs' second touchdown? My wife even caught that one! What about the pass interference on the pass to Moss in the endzone? Or how about the catch by Moss that was NEVER whistled dead and Moss got up and ran for another 40 yards but was called incomplete? How can a ref on the field determine that it was incomplete but yet the review is inconclusive?? The refs are trained to let the play run out, which they did, but then why did they come back and call it incomplete anyway?? The Bucs had 2 penalties called against them for 14 total yards while the Skins had 4 penalties for 25 yards. Yeah.... who was really in th refs' back pocket now? How about next time you actually watch the game so you can know what you're talking about.

@132pm

yes READ the yahoo article.
at the 12. need to get to the 2 for a first down, but he only got to the 2.5 yards line (no first down).

end story = 5 downs.

I am a life-long Skins fan....through good, bad and worse. And I love going to the games. I have been in the rain, ice and sunshine. And by the way....it wasn't 5 downs. The official ruling was a 1st down at the 2.5 yard line.
