The Obama administration gave corporate giant General Electric—the parent company of NBC--$24.9 million in grants from the $787-billion economic “stimulus” law President Barack Obama signed in February 2009, according to records posted by the administration at Recovery.gov
Despite getting $24.9 million from U.S. taxpayers, GE decreased its U.S.-based employees by 18,000 in 2009, according to the company’s 2009 annual report.
According to Standard & Poor's, GE took in $156 billion in revenue in 2009.
GE was the primary recipient of 14 stimulus grants, a spokeswoman for Recovery.gov confirmed to CNSNews.com. These 14 grants provided GE with $24.9 million in tax dollars. On four additional stimulus grants, the primary recipient of the federal money hired GE as a contractor. Recovery.gov is the administration’s website that tracks stimulus expenditures.
At the end of 2008, GE employed 152,000 U.S. workers, according to its 2009 annual report. But at the end of 2009, according to the report, it employed only 134,000 U.S. workers, a decline of 18,000 workers.

Obama looking out for his good buddy Jeffery Immelt who says this President isn't bought and paid for Omama is no more than Madam of the White House he should be charged with prostitution.
Hmmmm....the taxpayers (you know--- the people with JOBS --- taxpayers!) had THEIR money taken from them and given to already rich companies with very rich executives from very rich families to save them from their own bad decisions. In return, those rich people closed plants, raided and destroyed the 401(k) and pension plans, laid off thousands and after all that, went on TV to lie about how "they" paid off the loans ahead of time. Lying, cheating, and stealing...the whole package. And their friends on Wall Street, not to be outdone, saluted THAT scam and one-upped them by also taking bailout billions and one-upped the game even better by paying out $144 billion in BONUSES (thats on top of multi-million dollar salaries). And I have yet to hear the savior of the weak and poor (and for some, the savior and saint of the WORLD), Obama, say a harsh word. Is it any wonder that the American taxpayer (the ones carrying the weight, not the ones waiting for the mailman to bring 'em a check) is getting a little fed up?
